Fitness NB is the Business office for CSEP Atlantic which oversees the delivery of the CSEP professional certifications in New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. CSEP Atlantic administers courses, grants certification and re-certification for CSEP-CPT's (formerly CFC) and CSEP-CEP's (formerly PFLC).

The program was established by the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) in 1981 to address certain needs and concerns of personnel working in the physical activity, fitness and lifestyle appraisal industry.

The Program

• Protects consumers by regulating standards for physical activity, fitness and lifestyle appraisal personnel and centres.
• Gives appropriate recognition to physical activity, fitness and lifestyle appraisal personnel with advanced qualifications in the field of exercise science.
• Promotes a professional and ethical approach in the physical activity, fitness and lifestyle appraisal industry.
