Board of Directors 2012- 2013 The Board of Directors are representatives of the members, the Board is elected to develop and oversee the implementation of policy necessary to safeguard and advance the interests and objectives of Fitness NB. A Board is a team whose success depends heavily on the commitment and performance of the individual members.
Viola Doucet (Moncton NB) Viola is bilingual in French and English and has a Health and Science Diploma from University de Moncton. She is employed at G.D. Hospital in Moncton and holds her RTL and Personal Fitness Trainer certifications with FNB. Viola has a passion for fitness and feels that it is important that everybody gets moving! Rick Fralic (Fredericton NB) Rick is a longtime member of Fitness New Brunswick. He is currently certified as Group Fitness Leader and an Older Adult Fitness Leader. Rick also has completed training in Group Cycling and Reebok Step. His volunteer experience includes work with the YMCA, Red Cross, Nashwaak Salmon Association (President) and has worked with Boy Scouts of America for the past 7 years. Rick has worked as an Engineering Technologist for over 28 years at Neill & Gunter. Rick has attended numerous Fitness NB conferences and is very familiar with the programs and services offered from the organization. Jenny Hendy (Moncton NB) Jenny has been a member of Fitness NB since 1998. In that time, she has been certified as a Group Fitness Leader and has also completed certifications and training in Group Power, Group Centergy, Body Pump and Body Flow. In between teaching various aerobics classes, Jenny works with District 2 as a Job Trainer with behavior and special needs students. Ms. Hendy has also volunteered with the Moncton Energize Committee in 1997, the YMCA since 1998, and is currently part of the Riverview in Action committee and the Moncton Chapter of Harley Davidson Owners. She graduated from BBC in 1980 and then the Moncton Technical school in 1981. Jenny has a drive and passion for safe and fun classes that help people become healthy and active for life. Line Marr (Fredericton NB) Line has been active in the fitness industry for over 23 years and her certification include CALA (Canadian Aquafitness Leaders Association Inc.), AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association), YogaFit Level 3 & Restorative, Spinning Level 2 Instructor (Mad Dog Athletics, and CanFitPro (PTS & FIS). Line completed the Fitness and Lifestyle Management Program at Algonquin College in Ontario. She is Bilingual and has conducted Aquafitness courses and workshops for CALA, AEA and The YMCA in Ontario. She now works as the Fitness and Wellness Assistant at UNB Fredericton. After living in the USA for 3 years Line moved back to Canada and has made Fredericton her permanent home.

Eric Porcellato (Saint Andrews NB)
Eric is the Wellness
Coordinator with NB Power at the Point Lepreau Generating Station. He has
been certified with Fitness NB/CSEP Atlantic since 2007. Eric is a
CSEP-Certified Exercise Physiologist and is also in training to be a Clinical
Exercise Specialist with ACSM. Eric received his Bachelor’s in Human
Kinetics at St. Francis-Xavier University and continued his education at the
University of New Brunswick where he completed his Master’s in Exercise
Science.
Kevin Roy (Fredericton NB) Kevin has his M.SC. in the area of Exercise & Sport Science. He holds designations as a CSEP Exercise Physiologist and an NSCA - CSCS. He is currently working at UNB in the Kinesiology department while completing his PHD. Kevin has had extensive experience performing occupational fitness testing and working with high performance athletes. Kevin is fully bilingual in French and English and has been with FNB since 2007.
Darcy Vaughan (Saint John NB)
Darcy is currently a Sales
Manager at the Hilton Saint John and the Saint John Trade & Convention
Centre. She has been a member with FNB since 2009 with her interest
being in the Personal Training area.
Jeffery Zachavich (Halifax NS)
Jeffery is a CSEP-CEP and is
currently employed as a Kinesiologist by the Nova Scotia Capital District
Health Authority. He has also worked in a variety of clinical and high
performance facilities in Calgary Alberta doing exercise testing and
prescription. He has an M.Sc. in Kinesiology from the University of
Calgary and received both his B.Sc. in Kinesiology and B.Sc. in Health
Promotion from Dalhousie University. He has volunteered for Prostrate Cancer
Canada, YMCA Calgary, The Rick Hanson Foundation and the Arthritis Society.
Jeffery has a passion for health and fitness and is currently looking for
ways to promote and encourage people to be more active in their communities.
As a resident of Halifax one of his goals as a board member is to bring
more FNB presence into Nova Scotia.
